The Royal Society and The Wellcome Trust seek views to inform Brexit Future Partnership Project

13 November 2017

Both the UK and EU have been positive and ambitious about working together on research and innovation after Brexit.

Together with the Wellcome Trust, we’ve launched the Future Partnership Project. The project will convene UK and EU science leaders to develop a shared vision for an ambitious, close and achievable future agreement on research and innovation, to be agreed in early 2018. The vision will be informed by (1) a synthesis of evidence on the UK-EU relationship and (2) wider consultation with the global research community.

We’re asking individuals and organisations from across the UK and EU for their recommendations about how future research and innovation partnerships should work in practice.

We’re looking for input from anyone with experience of, or expertise in, international research partnerships.

If you’d like to submit evidence to the consultation:

by 8 January 2018, please submit answers to some or all of the questions set out in the consultation document to europe@wellcome.ac.uk.

We intend to publish responses. If you do not wish you response to be made available please state this at the top of your submission. The final recommendations will be published in spring 2018.
